Spinal Examination

Technology allows us to proficiently examine your spine with orthopedic and neurological tests to determine the cause of your health issues. This may involve X-rays in some cases.

Chiropractic Adjustments

Our meticulous chiropractors administer gentle spinal and extremity adjustments using an activator instrument. This is also known as the Activator Methods Technique. You receive instructions on how to manage your pain and are given a treatment plan specifically addressing your individual needs.

What Is Chiropractic?

Chiropractic is the science that is concerned with the relationship between structure (primarily the spine), and function (primarily the nervous system) of the human body, as that relationship may affect the restoration and preservation of health.

What Do Chiropractors Treat?

Chiropractors treat subluxations, which are misalignments of the bones that are producing nerve pressure or irritations. The adjustment is a precise method of realigning the misaligned "subluxated" body structures, particularly the spinal vertebrae, to restore the normal movement and nerve flow to all areas of the body.

Why Is This Important?

The nervous system controls everything in the body. If there is any interference, such as subluxations, over time this can cause serious health issues. You may experience tightness in a muscle, stiffness in the joints, tingling, numbness, or a burning pain. These are usually the first signs of trouble. If ignored, there can be further dysfunction into organs, and even to the cellular level.

Adjustments

Most patients come in for neck and back aches, pain in a shoulder or hip, numbness in the hands or feet, or for migraine or tension headaches. Many issues can be resolved by chiropractic spinal adjustment. This form of therapy helps relieve the pain. Many patients continue care since they feel better and more energetic after treatment.

Overall Benefit

Adjustments to remove subluxations allow your body to express itself to the best of its ability and promote excellent health.

Activator Methods Technique

This adjusting technique was developed in the 1970s. It has been a leader in research for chiropractic care. There have been some improvements to the instrument and the Activator V™ just came out last year. It is by far the best adjusting instrument we have ever used. It is gentle and it resonates with the patient's body, so the adjustment will last even longer than before.

Process

The adjustment with the activator instrument is a gentle tap along your spine and other joints that are out of alignment. There is minimal discomfort if the area is tender. This type of adjustment is very specific and does not involve any "popping" of the joints. Our business has had great results with this technique for more than 20 years now.

Activator Instrument

This technique utilizes a hand-held instrument that has been designed to deliver a controlled, light, and fast thrust without undue discomfort to the patient. The thrust delivered by the activator instrument is so quick that it accelerates ahead of the body's own tendency to tighten and resist the adjustment. Due to the accuracy and controlled light force, Activator Methods adjustments are suitable and comfortable for all types of patients, ranging from pregnant women, babies and children, to athletes and senior citizens.
